Museum of Modern Art and Yoko Ono Exhibit November 7, 2017

Turquoise monoprint of chicken on top of a map of the world surrounded by marching ants.

Starbuck and Stovall collaboration for Yoko Ono’s installation at the Museum of Modern Art.

The Museum of Modern Art commissioned Yoko Ono to create a full-page insert in the New York Times. The resulting artwork, Peace Is Power, invited the newspaper’s readers to add to the map of the world to indicate what areas “need peace.” The participants were asked to send their contributions to the artist’s attention at MoMA. A rotating selection of the Peace is Power submissions is updated periodically through November 2017.

Luanne Stovall and Honoria Starbuck submitted a peace/piece to the exhibition. The collaborative work, featuring Starbuck’s Zen Chicken and Stovall’s Hero Ant, was accepted to be part of the rotating exhibition.

I’m so proud to be part of this event!
